THE HALFWAY HOUSE will feature a special range of GOLD ALES as the SIX NATIONS battle it out on the rugby field during the latter part of February and the early part of March. These will include some of the well-kenned beers such as Isle of Skye’s, “Hebridean Gold” that proved so popular during last Summer’s Cask Ale Showcase, some of Scotland’s great Golden Beers like Inveralmond’s “Ossian” and Steve Stewart’s “Gold Bier” but also some special imported beers from the “auld enemy” which customers may not have had before. In addition, there will be the special rugby beers including, for the first time, Brain’s “Bread of Heaven,” a 4% bitter from Cardiff which should be available just in time for the Welsh to drown their sorrows!
